Welcome to The Great Dane Club of Des Moines!

Whether you are a breeder, exhibitor, trainer, pet owner, or fan of the breed, the Great Dane Club of Des Moines welcomes you to central Iowa's resource for all things Dane related. As a GDCA affiliate club, we strive to promote and preserve this noble, majestic breed by upholding the GDCA Code of Ethics. Responsible dog ownership is a major focus in all that we do, from our specialty shows to metroplex meet-ups and events. Throughout our website you will find information about the Great Dane breed, our club and events, and more!

Meeting Dates are the second Tuesday of each month at the Northwest Community Center in Des Moines.

Meetups

In addition to our annual specialty shows each September, the Great Dane Club of Des Moines participates in outings and community events. We've had meetups at the Farmers Markets in Downtown Des Moines & Valley Junction, Meet the Breed events at Brown Dog Bakery, Fourth of July Picnic & Fireworks, and outings to Snookie's Malt Shop.
